Dairy is my weakness and I especially love anything that contains cream, so combining tea and cream makes this drink that much more special. Strongly brewed tea works best for milk teas so use the highest quality of tea available or you may find that you will need to adjust the steeping time as needed. And because tea is nearly 100% water, the highest quality water you can use will produce the best results.
Prepare the tea:
Heat the water in a teapot until almost boiling. Pour the hot water into 2 mugs, place a tea bag in each and steep the tea for 5 minutes. Carefully remove the tea bags and stir 1 tsp of the coconut sugar into each mug then top each with 2 tbsp of heavy cream. Serve hot.
Notes: Most pumpkin spice teas do not contain actual pumpkin, but because pumpkin contains lectins, check the label to ensure it is in compliance with your diet.
