Oven baked perfectly formed taco shells are such a comfort knowing they will hold their shape when filled with all the wonderful things that make this casual fare so much fun and exciting to eat.
Prepare the oven & pan:
Preheat the oven to 400°. Set aside a large rimmed baking sheet.
Prepare the tortillas:
Form a piece of foil into a cylinder tent shape for each taco using the neck of a wooden spoon if needed. Then rub or brush each side of the tortilla with avocado oil and lay the tortilla over the foil.
Bake the tortillas:
Bake for 5 to 10 minutes until the taco shells are lightly browned and crispy. Remove from the oven and let cool for 3 to 5 minutes.
Serve the taco shells:
Stuff the taco shells with your favorite filling and enjoy!
Notes: Because the skins of almonds contain lectins, use an almond tortilla product that practices removing the skins in their preparation. I like the Siete brand but use your compliant favorite.
