The sun was just beginning to peak over the tree line across the lake, and the morning light streaming into our home created a perfect moment of calm. I made an espresso, grabbed my camera and then sat quietly to embrace the peacefulness. When I snapped the photo, I hadn’t even noticed the beautiful, brilliant blue reflection of the sky on our kitchen island. And the black vase, made of burnt mango wood, with the faux fall botanicals really seemed to glow in the morning sun.

My design style has evolved over the years, and I now opt for a simple, minimalist approach to my décor. I hope to share many more snapshots of my cozy and relaxed home with you all soon.
