One of my favorite months of the year, October is truly special. I enjoy the start of the fall sweater season especially when I can cook with my windows or patio door open, and I’m wrapped in cashmere to take any chill out of the air. The trees on my side of the Earth are just starting to turn, and I catch the scent of firewood burning. I take a moment to take it all in knowing this season won’t last long.

My family and I would partake in a local wine tour every October back in the day, and I loved driving through the small towns, visiting antique shops all while the leaves would gently fall. Although we haven’t done that it years, those memories are dear to me.

This October, I am looking forward to making some real comfort food as the cooler weather moves in. I can’t wait to make the Italian Sauced Penne as I love to simmer the tomato sauce while watching football on a Sunday afternoon. I also have the Tostones and Shoestring Fries on my list as well along with some pizza for some incredible bites. And to wrap things up, I’ll drink the Simple Golden Latte to start off my mornings to set me up for a great day. What are you looking forward to making?
